Springboard Corporate Finance is pleased to announce that it has advised Zazzle Media on its sale to digital marketing agency Stickyeyes.
About the deal
Zazzle Media was established in 2009 and operates from offices in London and Peterborough. The business employs more than 40 staff and works on behalf of clients such as eBay, AO.com and Mecca Bingo. The enlarged group will have 3 offices and 140 staff.
Stickyeyes is one of the largest, full service digital marketing agencies in the UK. Headquartered in Leeds the business works across 17 territories with international clients such as Staples, Hertz and ghd.
The deal was led for Springboard by Partner Simon Ward and Assistant Director James Bailey. Ward commented: “Zazzle is an exceptional business with an outstanding entrepreneur at its helm. In 6 years Simon Penson has built a great business and we are delighted to have been able to assist him in realising value. The marketing services sector remains extremely buoyant and we continue to see a range of interesting opportunities to work with owner managers to deliver their strategic goals.”
How we made a difference
- Negotiated a complex structure reflecting the growth of the business and the requirements of our client;
- Worked closely with our client to understand the opportunity and returns through being part of a larger group;
- Controlled pricing and structural negotiations ensuring that the initial deal structure was delivered acting as intermediary between the competing requirements of investors, management team and vendors; and
- Project managed the process (including due diligence and legal matters) securing a successful completion.
